The EFR Instructor course is not only aimed at people who are becoming PADI Instructors (link). The training you receive is general and applies to many situations outside the SCUBA diving environment.

This is a full day course that starts at 8AM in the morning and should end at around 3PM-5PM depending on group size.
You will meet at our Simon's Town facility situated just outside Cape Town.
You will receive an Instructor Pack on the day of the course. During the course you will take part in a few presentations that will refresh your EFR knowledge and also teach you how to use EFR in a professional environment.
During the course you will familiarise yourself with the techniques required to present a professional EFR course. You will cover the different programs such as EFR Primary Care, EFR Secondary Care and EFR Care for Children. You will also cover the following topics:
- Structure learning
- Requirements of performance-based training
- Your role as the instructor in the learning environment
- How to motivate students
- Evaluate student knowledge
- Present course content effectively
- Become proficient in developing students' hands-on skills practice sessions
- How to present an effective scenario-based learning experience
At the end of all the presentations and skill development you will write the EFR Instructor exam. You will need to score a minimum of 75% to successfully pass the exam and receive certification.
