DESCRIPTION
Continued education focusing on establishing fundamentals in buoyancy, navigation and ascends from a maximum depth of 30m.
Prerequisites
PADI Open Water certification (or equivalent) and minimum age of 12.
Duration
6 days. All courses start on an individual basis.
The Advanced Course is designed for certified divers looking to refine their skills, enhance situational awareness, and develop a more structured, team-based approach to diving. This course builds upon the foundational skills learned in the Open Water Course, emphasizing precision buoyancy, trim, propulsion, and advanced dive planning techniques.

All students begin with a comprehensive pool session, reinforcing core skills before progressing to challenging open water dives along Cape Town’s Southern Peninsula. You’ll practice advanced navigation, controlled descents and ascents, and gas-sharing procedures in real-world conditions. The course also introduces rock-bottom gas management, midwater problem-solving, and emergency protocols, ensuring you're prepared for more demanding dives, such as deep, wreck, or low-visibility environments.

By the end of this course, you'll be a more confident, self-sufficient diver, capable of executing longer, safer, and more efficient dives within a structured, team-based system. Whether you’re looking to improve your skills for recreational diving or preparing for technical training, this course provides the perfect next step in your diving progression.
